Cel The TACTICS project will demonstrate that loading bays and the intermodal transfer of palletised goods can be fully automated, electronically managed and networked into computer based logistics within existing transport systems.A functional system will be constructed to verify the system and demonstrate mechanical engineering, electronic control and logistics software solutions. This programme will also demonstrate that it is viable to transfer palletised goods in an uninterrupted recyclable intermodal distribution chain. Goods can be packed at source and delivered in returnable packaging in a fully automated cycle. Current practices require excessive packaging and inefficient multiple handling operations at numerous points in the transport chain.Indirect benefits will be more effective use of vehicles and warehouse, fast intermodal transfer, reduced consumption of fuels and packaging, reduced pollution and traffic congestion, reduced impact to urban environments, reduced material handling and less damage. Loading and unloading practices, currently too variable and extremely inefficient, can be streamlined. Vehicle and container utilisation is poor, requiring unnecessary duplication of equipment and redundant operational support. Standardised and automated loading will reduce this problem. %The TACTICS group will be completing a demonstration programme that will see the automatic loading and transfer of palletised goods as part of a high volume consumer distribution chain. This cross European exercise will handle consumable products that use the same recyclable palletising from origin to point of retail and will be electronically managed using advanced product tagging.Countries involved; Germany and the United Kingdom. %TERMINET, ASAP, FLIHTT, IMPULSE, ROLLING SHELF Dziedzina nauki natural sciencescomputer and information sciencessoftwareengineering and technologymechanical engineeringnatural sciencesearth and related environmental sciencesenvironmental sciencespollutionengineering and technologyenvironmental engineeringenergy and fuels Program(-y) FP4-TRANSPORT - Specific research, technological development and demonstration programme in the field of transport, 1994-1998 Temat(-y) 3.1 - Quality of the network Zaproszenie do składania wniosków Data not available System finansowania CSC - Cost-sharing contracts Koordynator 3T DESIGN LIMITED Wkład UE Brak danych Adres Hill House 8 Warwick Road CV47 0HN Southam Zjednoczone Królestwo Zobacz na mapie Koszt całkowity Brak danych Uczestnicy (5) Sortuj alfabetycznie Sortuj według wkładu UE Rozwiń wszystko Zwiń wszystko ACCELERATED BUISNESS GROWTH LTD Zjednoczone Królestwo Wkład UE Brak danych Adres Alexander House Fore Hill 38 CB7 4AF Cambridgeshire Zobacz na mapie Koszt całkowity Brak danych CHEP UK LIMITED Zjednoczone Królestwo Wkład UE Brak danych Adres Weybridge Business Park Addlestone Road KT15 2UD Surrey Zobacz na mapie Koszt całkowity Brak danych LINPAC MATERIALS HANDLING GMBH Niemcy Wkład UE Brak danych Adres Gildestrasse 1 48455 BAD BENTHEIM Zobacz na mapie Koszt całkowity Brak danych LINPAC MOULDINGS LIMITED Zjednoczone Królestwo Wkład UE Brak danych Adres 3180 Park Square Birmingham Business Park B37 7YN Birmingham Zobacz na mapie Koszt całkowity Brak danych NV CHEP EUROPE SA Belgia Wkład UE Brak danych Adres Uitbreidingstraat 46 2600 Antwerpen Zobacz na mapie Koszt całkowity Brak danych
