In this project, theory of perturbations of global attractors and exponential attractors for infinite-dimensional systems generated by PDEs will be developed. Consideration of systems arising in discretizations of PDEs will allow to study the long time behaviour of numerical approximations for these equations and to justify the application of their computer modelling.
The results will be applied to a wide class of systems arising in phase transformations, interface motion, and superconductivity. Cooperation of mathematicians working in the theory of dynamical systems (both finite and infinite dimensional), in the theory of numerical methods for dynamical systems, and in applications of dynamical systems will give a possibility to obtain new results important for general theory and applicable to investigation of real practical problems.
