Cel Treatment of severe and fulminant form of viral hepatitis prevailing in the countries of Central Asia due to low hygienic standards especially in the country regions (HAV) and vulgar opiate drug addiction with tradition of needle-sharing (HBV and HCV) is a very challenging medical problem. The main objective of the project is to study the efficiency and potential of the introduction of new HSGD hemosorbents developed in Ukraine in the treatment of widespread severe and fulminant forms of viral hepatitis on the territory of Uzbekistan. This objective will be achieved through the introduction of new generation of carbonic mass-fractal pyropolymers HSGD, optimization of extra corporeal purification procedure, and studies of its clinical efficacy and mechanisms of action. In the course of this study, production of carbonic pyropolymers in single-used columns for the official registration and certification in agreement with national standards of Uzbekistan, primary expertise, medical and ethical approval of clinical tests will be done. The improvement of HSGD biocompatibility and adsorptive properties towards practically important protein-bound toxins, typical for hepatic insufficiency including unconjugated bilirubin, phenols, indoles, bile acids, free fatty acids and viral components via optimization of method of ex-tempore human serum albumin (HSA) coating carbonic surface will be performed. Results of testing of HSA-coated and uncoated HSGD in the model experiments with albumin-containing stock solutions of tightly protein-bound markers of hepatic insufficiency and viral components as well as their hemocompatibility and efficacy for purification of blood plasma, obtained from patients with severe and fulminant forms of viral hepatitis will be carried out. The common final conclusion about possibilities and prospects of direct removal of HCV and HBV viruses and its component from patients blood and blood plasma using extra corporeal technique of blood purification onto HSGD mass fractal carbonic adsorbents in single-used cartridges will be acquired. Realization of this project will give a major break-through on the way of successful extra corporeal treatment of complicated and fulminant forms of viral hepatitis in Uzbekistan.
