The European Commission, DG X, has published prior information on a forthcoming invitation to tender for the tasks associated with the running of information relays. The information relays concerned belong to the following networks:

- Information and rural-activity symposia (100 to date);
- European Info-points (85 to date);
- Urban forums for lasting development (19 to date).

More specifically, the contract will involve:

- The management and development of an Internet relay site integrated into the Europa server;
- The management and development of a protected Internet site reserved for relays;
- The organisation of training courses and logistical support during annual general meetings, via networks and coordination committee meetings for each network;
- The preparation of various reports on activities performed by the relays and other thematic reports;
- The setting-up of a response service to requests for information/documentation for the relays and technical aid within the framework of transnational cooperation projects;
- The running of work groups formed within each network;
- The management and development of databases.
