Commission seeks proposals for developing the innovation business
The European Commission has published a call for proposals for work related to mechanisms for the setting up and development of innovative firms. This call is part of the specific programme for research, technological development and demonstration on 'promotion of innovation and encouragement of SME participation' (1998 to 2002), a part of the EU's Fifth RTD Framework Programme. The call covers: - Thematic networks of economic areas of excellence to stimulate the exchange of information, good practices and competences; - Projects to validate original instruments or approaches; - Accompanying measures: - - 'Network interaction and management'; - - 'Innovation policy interface'. The Commission has allocated a budget of 12 million euro to this call.
