Competition for electronic communication access networks and services
An opportunity to study the development of competition for electronic communications access networks and services has arisen with a recently published open invitation to tender from the European Commission, DG XIII. The aim of the study is to provide material relevant for adopting the EU regulatory framework where appropriate, in order to continue to stimulate competition and customer choice in local access networks, and in the services delivered over those networks. In particular the study should address the issue of how the regulatory framework can continue to stimulate the provision of advanced services for all European citizens in an open and competitive market.
