Study on the restrictions of free circulation of off-road machinery in the EU
Economic research services covering restrictions of the free circulation of off-road machinery in the EU is the subject of an invitation to tender issued by the Enterprise Directorate-General. A wide range of different types of self-propelled machinery occasionally use public roads, and are subject to a number of EU directives regulating different aspects of the machines. Road safety aspects are still determined at Member State level however, and Commission services are currently considering the best method to ensure the free movement of goods for this type of machinery. The purpose of the contract is to provide a study of the current regulatory approaches and a market competition impact analysis in the EU in the field of self-propelled machinery that occasionally use public roads.
