Architectural and engineering drawings
The European Commission, through the Institute for Advanced materials of the Joint Research Centre at Petten in the Netherlands, is setting up the European reference vehicle and power testing facility for emission reduction technologies. The facility will be used to assess emission reduction capabilities and potential of different vehicle and engine technologies for European legislation and industry. It will be used partly for emission measurements as described in European and international regulations and partly for institutional research in this field. The Institute for Advance materials has developed the basic drawings where the layout of the different testing equipment has been specified. It is now calling for tenders for the production of detailed architectural and engineering drawings with an estimate of the cost for the whole building which will house the vehicle and power train testing facility with the appropriate ancillary facilities. These drawings will eventually be used for the subsequent call for tender, which will cover the construction of the facility.
