Online consultation to prepare for revision of EU detergents legislation
The European Commission's Enterprise Directorate General is holding an Internet consultation to research stakeholders' views on a draft document proposing the revision of current EU detergents legislation. The key aim of the EU detergents policy has been to safeguard the single market in such products and ensure a high level of environmental protection. The draft proposal for a revision of the existing legislation aims to raise human and environmental protection standards at a reasonable cost. All interested parties are invited to make their comments on the draft text and accompanying preliminary business impact assessment by 15 September 2001.
