JRC offers contract for study of identity management systems
The European Commission's Joint Research Centre (JRC) has announced a call for tenders for an identification and comparison study of identity management systems (IMS). The aim of the study is to collect information on ongoing development trends of commercially available IMS, as well as those at the pilot stage, concentrating on those allowing for multi-purpose usage. Data collected on these systems will first be presented in such a way as to allow comparisons of their main characteristics (for example, security/privacy requirements and mechanisms). The information comparing the various systems and architectures will then be presented in the form of a number of case studies illustrating IMS in use, its advantages and drawbacks. The compiled results will be used to help define the framework conditions for a trusted infrastructure that will enable the reconciliation of the privacy and security requirements that have become necessary as the information society develops. In addition, it is important throughout the exercise to identify and classify European research and technical development (RTD) capacity in this field so as to leverage common European efforts. For further information, please contact: European Commission Directorate-General JRC - IPTS Attn: Mrs Mercè Batet-Alcon Inca Garcilaso E-41092 Sevilla Tel: +34-954-488391 Fax +34-954-488300 E-mail: Jrc-TendersIPTS@cec.eu.int To see the tender text, please consult the following web address: http://ted.eur-op.eu.int/udl?REQUEST=Seek-Deliver&LANGUAGE=en&DOCID=106821-2002(odnośnik otworzy się w nowym oknie)
