Nominations invited for IST Prize
The nomination process for the 2004 IST (information society technologies) prize is now open. Three Grand Prize winners will receive 200,000 euro each, while an additional 20 winners will receive 5,000 euro each. Now in its tenth year, the IST prize is an award for groundbreaking products that represent the best of European innovation in the IST field. The prize is organised by Euro-CASE with the sponsorship and support of the European Commission under its IST research programme. All applications are assessed by independent experts. Between 50 and 70 shortlisted nominees will be announced in July, with 20 winners being selected before the IST event, and the Grand Prize winners being announced at a special ceremony during the event in The Hague, the Netherlands from 15 to 17 November.
