VALUE Relay Centres discuss good practice procedures
The 1994 annual meeting of the VALUE Relay Centre (VRC) Network took place in Brussels on 21-23 September 1994. The event was attended by representatives from the 32 VALUE Relay Centres, including delegates from the new VRCs in Austria, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden. The event included a presentation from Mr. Giulio Cesare Grata of DG XIII/D of the European Commission on the dissemination of information on European RTD, the exploitation of research results at local level and promotional activities. VRC delegates also had the opportunity to meet Commission representatives from the specific programmes implementing the Fourth Framework Programme which have already been adopted, namely industrial and materials technologies and advanced communications technologies and services (ACTS). The idea of closer collaboration between the VRC and the specific programmes was also discussed. Closer collaboration would improve the quantity and the quality of participation in the specific programmes by providing assistance in order to motivate organizations.
