The Training and Mobility of Researchers (TMR) programme has published details of the training grants awarded to young European scientists under the Fourth Framework Programme, now available on the World Wide Web. The grants, known as the Marie Curie research training grants, are awarded to European scientists under 35 years of age to enable them to conduct research work in a laboratory in another European country. The grants are available in ten of the Community's specific RTD programmes, and may also be taken up in the Joint European Torus (JET) project and the Commission's Joint Research Centre. The information available on the Web includes details of the host institutions, the grant-holders and the research work being undertaken. The specific programmes under which training grants may be taken up are: - Training and Mobility of Researchers (TMR): covers basic research and natural sciences; - Standards, Measurements and Testing (SMT); - Environment and Climate; - Marine Sciences and Technologies (MAST); - Biotechnology (BIOTECH); - Biomedicine and Health (BIOMED); - Agriculture and Fisheries (FAIR); - Non-Nuclear Energy (JOULE/THERMIE); - Nuclear Fission Safety; - Controlled Thermonuclear Fusion.
