Composite radio compounds quality performance with network capacity

Mobile lines whether overcharged or interrupted are common communication symptoms that almost all mobile users have more or less experienced. New software radio technology allows network operators to supply broadband IP-based services with wireless access for greater flexibility and safer use.

The days when broadband IP-network services were subject to pressures for reducing the QoS (Quality of Service) levels in order to satisfy a larger demand for network capacity are long gone. Network operators are now able to provide broadband IP-based services with a crystal-clear composite radio technology. This novel technology ensures higher information transmission rates and wireless access flexibility. Instead, for example, of lowering the QoS levels or rejecting users, the company manages to split the traffic volume between co-operating networks thus leading to greater performance levels and new agreements with Network Providers (NPs). Separate traffic volumes are developed with the help of algorithms and system simulators. Both tools facilitate the work of the Service and Network Resource Management through the use, control and management of radio and network resources. In addition, simulators simulate the radio and core network, and enable the SNRM to test the network's strengths and weaknesses before implementing it. Mapping and dynamic network planning of the IP based network ensure that mobile users are provided with fast, easy and effective delivery of services. The objective of the Composite Radio technology is to create a sophisticated network environment that will serve as a useful tool to analyse and monitor radio quality and performance. In order for such an environment to guarantee optimum quality, prime consideration is given to the composite radio's infrastructure, namely cost, terminal profiles, and user classes. Moreover, it aims to facilitate the communication between service providers and network operators via the use of a management platform. Composite radio technology' impact in telecommunications can be both innovative as well as cost-effective for operators and manufacturers respectively. It can deploy cost-effective networks and build innovative systems solutions. Its use can range from satellite, terrestrial wireless systems and networks, to mobile and personal communications, at last putting mobile users' minds at ease.
