Business partnership events - Turkey
The European Commission, DG IA, has published a call for expressions of interest relating to the organization of three "business partnership" events in Turkey. The call is published by the Commission, acting on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Turkey. The contract to be awarded will cover the organization, in Turkey, of three events ("business partnerships") to be held over a two-year period. The "business partnerships" are aimed at promoting transnational cooperation between EC and Turkish businesses and will be organized in three of the following sectors to be specified by the Commission: health, machine tools, distribution, telecommunications, electronics, glass, ceramics, steel. During the events, EC and Turkish SMEs will be able to make contacts with a view to identifying suitable partners. The services required include: - Identifying the venue in Turkey best suited for the business partnerships; - Proposing the sub-sectors in and related to the industry sectors that are to be given priority during the business partnerships; - Searching for identification/recruitment of potential participant companies in the business partnerships (use of publicity material, mail shots, specialized press advertising and other techniques and meetings with potential participants both in Turkey and the EC, and with professional/trade associations); - Preparing a catalogue (in English, German and French) listing and profiling Turkish participant companies in order to organize, before the business partnerships, a programme of encounters with EC participant companies; - Preparing guides to investing in Turkey with particular emphasis on the business partnerships' selected industry sector for distribution to participants; - Preparing profiles of EC participant companies (in English, German and French); - Responsibility for all logistic arrangements at chosen conference venue, including direct contacts with conference centre/hotel management, provision of spot services; - Preparation and confirmation of conference programme including invitation to, liaison with and presence of conference speakers; - Preparation and distribution of conference documents; - Organization of conference sessions, both plenary and round tables, and arrangements for individual contacts (matchmaking); - Liaison with interpreters (languages: Turkish, English, German, French); - Follow-up contact after the business partnerships with firms that took part as part of assessment of the business partnerships. The contract for the provision of the services is open to natural persons who are nationals of the EC Member States or Turkey and legal persons established in the European Community or Turkey. The tender dossier will be sent only to shortlisted candidates. Each candidate which has not been shortlisted will be notified accordingly. The maximum budget for the contract is ECU 585,000.
