Evaluation of RTD proposals in agriculture, forestry and rural development
The European Commission, DG VI, has published a call for expressions of interest concerning the evaluation of RTD proposals in areas relating to agriculture, forestry and rural development. The Commission intends to draw up a list of potential contractors who may be called upon to assist the Commission in the evaluation of proposals in these fields. The list will be divided into 15 sub-areas, corresponding to the following fields: - Crop production factors (soil, water, inputs); - Crop production systems (agronomic methods, extensification); - Crop production: plant breeding and improvement, including biodiversity and genetic resources in agriculture; - Crop diversification: food and non-food; - Crop protection: plant pathology (fungi, viruses, bacteria); - Crop protection: plant entomology (including nematodes, acarines, etc.); - Crop protection: weeds; - Animal production: breeding, biodiversity, husbandry, nutrition, livestock systems; - Animal health; - Animal welfare; - Forestry; - Product quality (animal and plant) and quality policy; - Common Agricultural Policy impact assessment; - Rural development; - Engineering, including informatics. On the basis of the list drawn up in response to this call for expressions of interest, the Commission will, as and when necessary, invite potential contractors with knowledge of the field concerned to tender for the work required.
