Florence hosts FP5 seminar on language technologies

Consorzio Pisa Ricerche, the Italian National Focal Point for Human Language Technologies, is organising a national seminar, "Human Language Technologies in the Fifth Framework Programme", to be held in Florence, Italy on 9 March 1999.

Co-financed by DG XIII/E of the European Commission within the Telematics Applications project (Euromap), it will include presentations from: Roberto Cencioni, Head of Unit, DG XIII/E; Luciano Criscuoli, Director of Research Unit, Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific & Technological Research; Franco De Noth, IST Programme National Delegate; and, Marialina Marcucci, Vice President of Tuscany Region. Further presentations will be made by experts from the field and the Euromap Site Manager, Cinzia Giachetti.

The initiative aims to provide information on the Human Language Technologies sector to future Fifth Framework Programme project proposers and to foster and create partnerships and ideas for future projects.
