'Best practice in science and technology' is the title of the first conference to be organised by the Association of European science and technology transfer professionals (ASTP). To be held in Paris on 15 and 16 June, the conference represents ASTP's first tackling of issues on a major scale since was it set up in December 1999.
Part of the ASTP's remit is to promote technology transfer between Europe's science base and its industry. In the June conference, issues such as when to patent, finding partners for patents, technology transfer via the Internet and raising risk capital figure on the programme. It has organised the conference in collaboration with Science Alliance.
