Sir Dai Rees, previous president of the European Science Foundations and former CEO of the Medical Research Council, will give a talk on commercial perspectives for the science base in Europe.

Other topics to be covered include American approaches towards technology transfer, the experiences of technology transfer in different European countries, European experiences with biotechnology valuation and the identification of valuable ICT technologies in universities.
