European Telework Week
The event is intended to focus attention on the emerging opportunities of teleworking in the context of the information society. The goal of the week is to raise awareness within industry, government administrations and the public and to promote constructive debate on working and living in the information age.
The week will include, amongst other themes yet to be announced, the following three events:
- "Telework '95" conference in Rome on 8-10 November 18995;
- "Telework Exhibition '95" in London on 14-16 November 1995;
- "A Day in the Information Society" Vienna on 6-9 November 1995.
It is envisaged that additional teleworking events will take place in most European countries during European Telework Week. These events will be held at local, regional and international level.
The events will not benefit from any direct financial support from the EU. However, mechanisms have been put in place to help organizers of the event gain visibility under the umbrella of the "European Teleworking Week".
