Networking and information services in the CEE countries

An international workshop on "Networking and information services in the Central and East European (CEE) countries" will take place in Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria, on 8-11 July 1996. The workshop is being supported by the European Commission within the framework of its specific RTD programme in the field of advanced communications technologies (ACTS).

The workshop programme will cover networking activities and the general state of networking in the CEE countries. Participants will, in particular, examine the results of the ESATT (European Science and Technology Transfer Network) project, supported under the Community's earlier RACE programme (1990-1994) in the field of communications technologies, and the improvement of the network services attained through its implementation.
