SPI'97 - Software Process Improvement
The theme of SPI'97 will be "How to improve: Practice and experience". Proposals are currently being invited for the organization of conference sessions, tutorials or for individual conference presentations. These may address a variety of topics, including (but not confined to):
- Company improvement initiatives;
- ESSI Process Improvement Experiments (PIEs);
- How to select or design improvement metrics;
- How to relate process improvement to business goals;
- Lessons from BPR;
- How to achieve excellence in key process areas and practices;
- Measured results;
- Lining up SPI with people, technology and company culture;
- What we did wrong;
- What we will do next;
- SPI and the learning organization;
- Integrating different improvement models and domains (ISO 9001, SE-CMM, Experience Factory, etc.);
- In-house interim assessments;
- Practical results from the research laboratories.
The SPI'97 Exhibition and Tools Fair will, in addition, provide an international showcase for service and tool providers in the field of software process and quality.
