In this deliverable the use cases to be assessed in the WP3 will be described. Then, an exhaustive analysis of the key factors that influence brake emissions will be performed highlighting the main findings. Finally, the testing protocols to follow in the WP3 will be defined both for emissions as well as noise and performance brake tests. This deliverable is linked with Task 3.1.
Gap analysis report on tailpipe and brake retrofit systems (odnośnik otworzy się w nowym oknie)This deliverable aims at identifying possible gaps in the current retrofit market, based on D1.1. Tailpipe retrofit systems target mostly diesel engines, while brake retrofits are scarcely applied. This deliverable corresponds to Task 1.2.
Report on Europe wide air, soil & water quality and case study specific exposure scenarios (odnośnik otworzy się w nowym oknie)This deliverable will summarize the impact of the proposed retrofit solutions on air quality, as well as on soil and surface waters. In addition, it will include two case studies, one in a metro station and another on a bus stop. This deliverable corresponds to Task 4.2.
Report on outcomes of the implementation of the DEC (odnośnik otworzy się w nowym oknie)This deliverable will provide a final account of how the DEC has been implemented throughout the project, providing specific information regarding the achievements in terms of dissemination and communication, while focusing on the plan exploitation to ensure that the knowledge and results generated within the project are subsequently made available within and beyond the project consortium also following the conclusion of the activities. This deliverable corresponds to Tasks 5.1, 5.2 and 5.3.
Recommendations for incentives and regulatory framework for retrofitting and in-use vehicle modifications (odnośnik otworzy się w nowym oknie)This deliverable will summarize the outcomes of the assessment of possible incentive schemes and regulatory framework for retrofitting. The work will build on existing incentive schemes and relevant legislation, providing recommendations to policy makers. This deliverable corresponds to Task 4.4.
Report on chemical characterisation of PM (odnośnik otworzy się w nowym oknie)This deliverable will report on the chemical characteristics of particle emissions, coming from both the exhaust (tailpipe) and the brakes. State-of-the-art analytical techniques will be implemented for a detailed characterization of the emitted particles. This deliverable corresponds to Task 4.1.
Specifications of the selected demo vehicles for each use case, description of the evaluation procedure and baseline test data (odnośnik otworzy się w nowym oknie)This deliverable aims at summarising the activities of Task 2.1. It will describe the vehicles that will be finally selected for retrofitting, together with the respective use cases, as well as the evaluation procedure (tests to be conducted and relevant conditions, such as speed profile and driving behaviour). This deliverable will also present the results of the baseline testing that will be conducted as soon as the vehicles are received.
Evaluation of the hazard profiles of brake emissions (odnośnik otworzy się w nowym oknie)This deliverable will report on the critical risks for human health originating from particles. The toxic potency of particle emissions will be evaluated, before and after the retrofitting, while also comparing tailpipe and brake particles. This deliverable corresponds to Task 4.3.
Demonstration and detailed evaluation of retrofit solutions for HDV applications (odnośnik otworzy się w nowym oknie)This deliverable will describe the procedure followed for the detailed evaluation of the tailpipe retrofit systems for HDV and the relevant results. It will demonstrate the integration of the retrofit system to existing vehicles, describing the required modifications for the installation, the evaluation procedure and the final outcomes and conclusions. This deliverable corresponds to Task 2.6.
Market screening results on tailpipe and brake retrofit systems (odnośnik otworzy się w nowym oknie)This deliverable will summarize the findings of Task 1.1, covering both tailpipe and brake retrofit systems. This deliverable aims at presenting the currently available retrofit systems on the market and evaluate them based on a series of criteria, considering both emissions reduction and possible side effects (e.g. vehicle performance).
Cost -Benefit of Vehicle Retrofit Options: Report on cost benefit analyses of incentivised and non-incentivised retrofit schemes in the EU and conclusions on the need for action (odnośnik otworzy się w nowym oknie)This deliverable will describe the procedure followed for the cost-benefit analysis of retrofitting, analysing the inputs coming from the previous WPs, assumptions, tools used and results. Further to the baseline scenario, two additional scenarios will be examined, i.e. with and without incentives for retrofitting. This deliverable corresponds to Task 4.5.
Demonstration and detailed evaluation of retrofit solutions for LDV applications (odnośnik otworzy się w nowym oknie)This deliverable will describe the procedure followed for the detailed evaluation of the tailpipe retrofit systems for LDV and the relevant results. It will demonstrate the integration of the retrofit system to existing vehicles, describing the required modifications for the installation, the evaluation procedure and the final outcomes and conclusions. This deliverable corresponds to Task 2.5.
