Market analysis of whole value network including packaging material producers, retailers, food companies, consumers including the current demand and market volume of food packaging plastic materials and analysis of the competitive environment and substitutes will also be conducted.

The final report will consists of a technical and a financial report for the whole project The technical part will include a summary of the project results furthermore their socioeconomic impact

In view of integrated eco-design, identify the hotspots and provide recommendations to be fed back to partners on the most promising configurations from a sustainability point of view.

Report on the value chain analysis

The report will include an identification and analysis of existing value networks in plastics and related industry sectors and the core actors and the relevant business models in the current situation of the industry Also an analysis of the existing industry data using the interview data obtained previously among relevant actors of the value chains will contribute to the understanding of the market potential And finally study of the existing value networks and formation of new value networks will be included

Final Report on Life Cycle Assessment

Full life cycle analysis of NEWPACK solutions compared to alternative food packaging solutions baseline in terms of environmental performance over the entire life cycle

Report on economic analysis.

The economic analysis of a full commercial scale of the processes developed in NEWPACK will include the calculation of the investment needed including equipment the fixed and variable operational costs a discounted cash flow analysis and the minimum selling price of the products and a cost sensibility analysis It will conclude with the potential economic feasibility of the manufacturing process

Dissemination portfolio

Compilation of all dissemination and communication tools designed and activities performed during the project

Customer perception of new biobased food packaging materials

The report will summarize the customer perception about the consumption of food packed in novel biobased materials with enhanced conservation properties but also safer for the environment

Availability of feedstock resources in Europe

Study of the feedstock necessary for the bioplastic production in Europe.
