High power absorption heat pumps of compact design have already been developed and tested. This project has further improved the cost effectiveness of this equipment by producing an even more compact design with lower primary energy demand.

The aim of this project was to carry out further research into the physical characteristics of the components in the system to make them as compact as possible. It also aimed to reduce the primary energy requirements of future generations of absorption machines in order to make them as cost effective as possible.
