Transgenic mice expressing human AD related genes (APP, PS1, Ape) have been and continue to be generated and will be validated. They will extend and recapitulate new findings in less complex systems, implemented in this proposal. "Multiple" transgenic mouse strains with more than one human transgenic are expected to show more complete pathology.
