Final stage of aid to training consultation launched
The final stage of consultation concerning draft regulations on aid to training has been launched by the European Commission. This sets the amount of aid companies can receive to train staff without having to declare it. The draft regulation sets this at one million euro, but this should not be accumulated with other forms of national, regional, local or European aid. Aid levels in relation to the total investment cost to the company will be decided by three factors: whether the company is an SME, whether it is in a region assisted by European regional policy and whether the training is transferable to other companies.
