Electronic commerce discussion lists launched
The European Commission's Information Society Project Office (ISPO) has launched a set of discussion lists on the theme of electronic commerce on its World Wide Web server. The lists aim to allow a wide range of users to comment on developments and policies in electronic commerce. The lists follow the establishment of several working groups in Europe under the G7 pilot programme "A global marketplace for SMEs", launched in February 1995. The discussion lists cover the three themes of the G7 project. These are: - Global information network; - SME requirements, in areas such as: . Globalization; . Deployment; . Data security; . Electronic transactions; . Intellectual property rights; . Privacy; . Interconnectivity and interoperability; . Financial aspects; - Test-beds and pilots for electronic commerce.
