Parliament gives view on guidelines on trans-European energy networks

The European Parliament in Strasbourg next week will give an opinion on a European Commission proposal to update the list of projects of common interest identified in trans-European energy networks (TEN) mentioned in Annex of Decision No 1254/96/EC of 5 June 1996.

This Decision would repeal the Commission Decision of 11 July 1997 defining the specifications of projects of common interest in this sector.

This Decision would establish a series of guidelines covering the objectives, priorities and broad lines of measures by the Community for TEN. In addition, it identifies projects of common interest among trans-European electricity and natural gas networks
