AGORAL 2001, focusing on biological tools in food processing and methods of analysis will be held in Dijon, France, on 28 and 29 March 2001.
This is the 13th annual scientific and technological meeting and workshop organised by the seven main food engineering French universities for the food industry. Each year the event focuses on a topic concerning the large scope of sectors represented within the Food Industry. The French innovation relay centre (IRC) Centr'Est and the IRC Network Agrofood Thematic Group are helping organise the 2001 event with a parallel brokerage event to the conferences.
AGORAL 2001 aims to bring together enterprises, in particular SMEs, and technical or research centres with the aim of fostering technological exchanges or partnerships, transfer of technology or know-how. In addition, it hopes to provide information on the latest technologies available in the field of food quality and security and process improvement.
The event will cater for providers of technologies or innovative know-how in biotechnology, agrofood, technical centres, research centres, buyers of technologies or know-how in the agrofood industry.
It will cover the following topics related to biological tools in food processing and methods of analysis:
- At the core of processes (improvement of the functional properties of raw materials, production of ingredients, nutrients and additives, food protection, quality control of foods, microbial ecology in products with guaranteed labels, operating and regulating processes);
- Towards real-time management of food safety and quality (composition analysis of food products, detection and simultaneous characterisation of contaminants, tracking and epidemiology studies.)
- New emerging technologies/Ethics and legal issues
Pre-arranged one-to-one appointments between technology providers and buyers will take place during half hour time slots. These appointments will be individual and confidential and will allow the participants to follow the conference programme of AGORAL according to their own interests.
