Zarządzanie uprzywilejowanym dostępem w chmurach
W informatyce pojęcie przywileju odnosi się do uprawnień posiadanych przez dane konto w danej sieci komputerowej lub określonym systemie. Zarządzanie uprzywilejowanym dostępem jest uważane za jeden z najważniejszych projektów w zakresie bezpieczeństwa, który może przyczynić się do zmniejszenia narażenia na cyberataki. Niestety, tradycyjne rozwiązania tego rodzaju nie są dostosowane do wymagań środowisk chmurowych i hybrydowych. W ramach finansowanego ze środków Unii Europejskiej projektu EPICA powstaje rozwiązanie, które pomoże przedsiębiorstwom w przyspieszeniu transformacji ukierunkowanej na chmurę bez uszczerbku dla bezpieczeństwa. Istniejące systemy stanowią wąskie gardło ze względu na fakt, że technologie, na których się opierają, nie oferują wysokiej elastyczności wymaganej przez środowiska chmurowe. Rozwiązanie opracowane w ramach projektu EPICA zapewnia interfejsy, które pozwolą na stworzenie tętniącego życiem ekosystemu.
Cel
PrivX is a new generation solution that brings Privileged Access Management (PAM) to the cloud era.
During its 25-year history of innovation, SSH.COM has developed strong customer and analyst relationships and gained
deep insight into customer needs. A key conclusion is that the traditional PAM approach is incompatible with the
requirements of cloud and hybrid environments. Customers have indicated that current 1st generation PAM systems are
cumbersome to deploy, inflexible to scale, expensive to create sufficient return-on-investment, and difficult for administrators
and end-users to effectively use. These systems have become a bottleneck in cloud transformation as their technology
foundation is not suitable for the immense flexibility and dynamism required by cloud environments.
PrivX is built from the ground up to meet and grow with the demands of the cloud. By providing credentialess, role-based,
on-demand access to cloud and hybrid resources, PrivX removes a key bottleneck from cloud adoption. PrivX enables
companies to accelerate their cloud transformation they must undertake to take advantage of new growth opportunities and
to stay competitive in the new digital economy.
SSH has a global customer base of 3000 companies and a demonstrated ability to sell to large enterprises. SSH will also
sell the product online to SME customers and recruit both cloud service providers and Identity-as-a-Service solution
providers to be resellers of PrivX. This will accelerate market entry and allows SSH reach a larger customer base.
The proposed work will allow SSH to complete the development of the PrivX product family, build necessary interfaces to
create a vibrant ecosystem around the product, and take it to the markets.
Europe has fallen behind the US, Israel, and China in cyber security development investment and innovation and
homegrown projects such as PrivX are crucial in helping to narrow the gap and increase the competitiveness of the EU
cyber security.
