OBJECTIVES
The technologies which are now emerging will lead to a change in the working methods applied within companies. Training must be available which can be carried out at work or by self study and distance learning. The objectives of this project are to identify training requirements in environmental engineering, i.e. the incorporation of environmental considerations into the engineering of a company's products. This project will develop the curriculum for a modular, university/industry consortium programme for training and education in environmental engineering.
ACTIVITIES
The project will carry out a survey to assess the exact training requirements for environmental engineering across Europe, taking into account emerging technological areas of importance. From this, it will build a curriculum. The courses and training materials will be developed collaboratively with partner universities and companies across Europe. The network of partner representatives from universities and industry will implement the integration of the training materials into relevant training activities.

- Short training modules, distance learning courses utilising multimedia and training software. The modules may be tailored to individual company requirements for in-company training and for integration into existing or the development of new university programmes.
