During months 18–36, PROPHET achieved substantial progress across all Work Packages, moving from conceptual development to validation and consolidation of its scientific and technical outputs.
WP1 focused on the development and refinement of the Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA) and on structured stakeholder engagement. The first version of the SRIA was completed at M24, while the updated version (M38) was informed by extensive dialogue within the PROPHET Forum and Platform. A major milestone was the Stakeholder Workshop in Stockholm (October 2024), followed by a Europe-wide Public Consultation (June–July 2025). These activities ensured that the SRIA reflects scientific evidence, stakeholder perspectives, and alignment with EU health and research priorities.
WP2 consolidated its literature mapping and research gap analyses on basic and translational sciences in personalised prevention, covering omics, digital and data-driven approaches, behavioural determinants, and health system integration. The outputs provided a robust evidence base that guided the SRIA thematic structure and research priorities.
WP3 developed methodological criteria and evaluation frameworks to assess the efficacy, cost-effectiveness, and equity of personalised prevention approaches. These frameworks contribute to defining common standards and indicators for monitoring implementation across Member States, supporting evidence-based policy decisions.
WP5 advanced capacity-building activities addressing citizens, patients, professionals, and policymakers. Key achievements included the launch of dedicated online materials and podcasts for citizens and patient associations, the release of the PROPHET Toolbox for professionals, and the publication of the policy brief “A Roadmap towards Personalised Prevention for Future Healthcare”. These initiatives enhanced awareness and readiness for the adoption of personalised prevention in practice.
WP6 strengthened dissemination and visibility of project results through continuous communication efforts, including newsletters, social media, and website updates. The PROPHET Toolbox was finalised as a long-term educational and policy resource. Preparations were also completed for the PROPHET SRIA Workshop at the European Public Health Conference 2025 (Helsinki), a major opportunity to present the project’s final outputs to the scientific and policy community.
Overall, the project delivered key scientific and technical results, consolidating the foundations for the adoption of personalised prevention in Europe through the SRIA, Roadmap, and associated capacity-building and evaluation tools.
