Training and toolkit to improve GE related to decision-making

The project will develop measures and tools by which the gender equality progress will be measured These will be gathered discussed and reflected on through engagement sessions and workshops with relevant stakeholders from the RPIs to produce a compendium of training resources and toolkit for Gender Equality decisionmaking

Training courses on integrating a gender perspective in research and education

A compendium of materials to increase awareness about gender in research which will be implemented through training for PhD candidates and more experienced researchers Resources will be adaptable by partners to the specific needs of their institutions

Toolkit for HR Professionals

Arising out of the findings of Task 31 and 32 policy recommendations will be developed that are oriented to inducing the needed sustainable cultural and institutional change These recommendations will be developed in collaboration with HR personnel and members of the senior executive level of the partner institutions to form a Toolkit for HR Professionals

Culture and Working Climate for Women Assessment Report

This report will be the result of work on Tasks 31 and 32 It will provide information from previous projects to utilize examples of best practice and tools already developed and asssess and contrast HR policies and procedures across the seven partner organizations

Monitoring and Budgeting Toolkit

This report will outline how data on hiring, retention, promotion, pay, developmental investments, and decision-making committees by gender can be used for both target-setting and monitoring progress towards gender equality at the institution and sub-institution level. The gender budgetary component of Task 3.6 will provide findings on the assessment of the RPIs and recommendations of how institutions need to look at resource allocation by gender.

Environmental Factors and Consequent Individual Skills Needs Assessment

This report will be the result of Task 34 providing information on the survey of current working environments and cultures from the RPIs It will provide a skills inventory around such issues as networking research collaboration internally and externally communication ability and selfpromotion The aim is to reveal the relative disadvantage experienced by female researchers because of institutional environmental and personal skills in order to identify the key areas that need to be integrated into developmental modules and toolkits for female researchers

Programs and Materials for Retention and Development

A compendium of programs cases simulationsdilemma games that support individual female researchers to accelerate their careers and reengage when returning from extended family care responsibilities

Publication of handbook guidelines for Social Science and Business schools to implement GEPs

A handbook for other AHMSSBL universities to use when developing their GEPs. The handbook will contain the challenges faced by the organizations and how to tackle these, it will contain the practices that the partners have implemented to improve gender equality, it will also contain the recommendation for the assessment of the current situation and it will also contain the tools (templates, guides) which have been developed within the project which can be used by other universities.
